Yesterday's answer: the side of the State Department building in Rosslyn. Congratulations to Kimberly for being the first to answer correctly (it might help that she also works nearby...).

Interesting fact: this is actually a piece of art, I maintained for the first year of working in Rosslyn that it was metal on the outside of the building to deflect the rays of spies trying to hack into the State Department.

Turns out, they are actually steels disks and pins on injection molded plastic panels.

GAME!

I am starting a game today! I will be posting pictures of random objects and you will have to identify...

1) What the object is in the picture,
2) Where the object is located.

Now, most of these will be in and around Washington, D.C., but to allow everyone to participate, I will occasionally throw in things that someone living outside of DC can also guess. Don't want to be a DC snob :)
